Two brothers killed in car collision while racing

Sharjah: Two young Emirati brothers lost their lives while practising car racing in a residential area in Sharjah, police said on Tuesday.

According to police, the youngsters were killed while racing in the area that link Al Nkhailat and Umm Khanour areas.

Police said the incident happened on Monday night.

"The brothers were racing with some other friends at night when their cars collided and hit the side of the road," police said.

Police said one of the brothers died on the spot. "The other brother was still alive and was transferred to Al Qasimi hospital in a critical condition," police said. He later succumbed to his injuries.
