Truck carrying livestock feed overturns in Fujairah, blocking traffic

Fujairah: A truck carrying livestock feed overturned and spilled its content at one of the main roundabouts in Fujairah on Monday, halting traffic for nearly an hour in the morning.

The accidents closed off the roundabout, at the junction of Hamad Bin Abdullah Street and Al Ghurfa Street, as traffic police and Fujairah Municipality staff worked to re-establish traffic flow.

The Pakistani driver of the truck, which was on its way from Oman to Fujairah City, sustained light injuries in the incident, according to traffic police officials, and was taken to hospital for treatment.

An initial police report blamed driver error for the incident but it wasn't immediately clear if further action will be taken against him.
