Collisions caused traffic chaos on busy roads on Thursday
Dubai: At least five people were injured, three of them seriously, in three different traffic accidents on Dubai roads in the past two days, according to Dubai police official.
Police said that two people sustained severe injures in traffic accident that took place on Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road at 5am on Thursday. Excessive speeds were blamed for the incident.
One man was injured in another traffic accident when he was hit by a car in Al Muraqabbat area at around 12.30pm on Wednesday.
“The injured man is fighting for his live in the ICU at Rashid hospital,” police said.
Two people sustained minor injuries in separate traffic accidents near Academic Sity at 9.30am on Wednesay, with excessive speed again suspected. An accident on the Business Bay road yesterday afternoon lead to traffic jams for vehicles coming from Festival City towards Al Khail Road. However, police did not confirm any injuries or deaths.
