Thales selected to provide signalling tech on Expo Metro link

Thales, the French company selected in June 2016 to handle the signalling on Dubai Metro’s Red line extension, confirmed in a statement on Monday that it will provide the systems’ extension and upgrade work on the project.

Known as Route 2020, the 15km extension will link the World Expo 2020 site with the rest of the line.

Thales will provide a state-of-the-art driverless train signalling technology as well as integrated supervision, telecommunications, passengers’ services, security and fare collection systems.
