Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi City Municipality has completed the regular maintenance works of its pedestrian subways across Abu Dhabi city.
The maintenance has ensured the cleanliness, security and safety aspects of the subways and the related service facilities.
The Municipality said in a statement that the maintenance campaign covered 35 subways, where disfiguring elements like graffiti were removed.
Other elements such as lighting, ventilation, electromechanical equipment, and floor cleaning and grouting to prevent water leakage were taken care of.
The step comes as the Municipality's endeavours to upgrade the capacity of facilities and improve the safety standards for subway users.
The Municipality lauded the cooperation of the public as well as the efforts made to maintain the modern appearance of all facilities in the capital city in the public interest.
The municipality said that the maintenance of the modern outlook and excellent profile of the capital city will further contribute to ensuring Abu Dhabi's place among the best metropolitan cities in the world.
