Dubai: The Abu Dhabi Education Council (Adec) stressed that all private schools in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi must meet safety and security requirements in school buses and provide students with the highest safety precautions.

According to the circular distributed by Adec to private schools, "schools must observe the student capacity in buses, secure windows and provide qualified supervisors to monitor students during their travels to and from school".
Yousuf Al Sheryani, Adec's Executive Director of Private Schools and Quality Assurance, said that it's the responsibility of the schools to ensure that students are safe and secure during travels.
