Dubai: Traffic on Al Ittihad Road heading from Sharjah to Dubai will redirected during the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Sharjah Police announced that maintenance work will be carried out along a section of the frequently used Sharjah-Dubai road.
According to officials, the area opposite Al Ansar Mall will be temporarily closed from 12am to 5am on August 14, 2018, in order to carry out road works under Al Nahda Bridge.
Traffic going towards Dubai will be rerouted to Al Mamzar area.
Authorities are notifying motorists to take alternative roads, which according to the provided map, is highlighted in yellow.

While traffic during the last month has reduced on Al Ittihad Road due to schools being closed for the summer holidays and many residents travelling abroad, the Sharjah-Dubai road usually caters to over 250,000 vehicles per day.
