Dubai: The Roads and Transport Authority’s Public Transport Agency has felicitated the second batch of model taxi drivers comprising 10 individuals from various franchise companies operating in the taxi sector in the emirate of Dubai.
Honorees were selected in accordance with the criteria set for the Taxi Services Excellence Award introduced by the RTA to recognise the best best-performing taxi drivers and franchise companies operating in the sector.
Dr Yousuf Mohammad Al Ali, CEO of Public Transport Agency, speaking at the award distribution ceremony held at RTA’s Head Office, commended the relentless efforts exerted by taxi drivers in Dubai to provide better services to their passengers, and welcomed directors of taxi franchise companies who attended the event.
“We meet here today to honour... taxi drivers and celebrate their unremitting efforts, responsible performance and keenness to maintain the image of the RTA across the community. This event is aimed to raise the profile of Dubai as a reputed cosmopolitan city and a prominent economic, tourist, financial and service destination for tourists, business leaders and entrepreneurs from all over the world. Such a global standing enjoyed by the city is supported by high levels of safety and security as well as a first-rate infrastructure and world-class services,” said Al Ali.
