I live in Sharjah and have found that the pedestrian crossing signals at Jamal Abdul Nasser Street have not been working for the past four to five months. The concerned authorities have done nothing so far, regarding this issue.

It is causing a lot of inconvenience to pedestrians, as motorists do not stop to give way to people. Those motorists who have to take the U-turn at the traffic signal do not get a fair chance either, as the signals are not working.

I would request Gulf News to please highlight this issue, as it has been [overlooked] for a very long time.

I hope the authorities in the city will take immediate action on this matter.
