Part of Al Khail Road in Dubai closed to traffic

Dubai: Al Khail Road in Dubai has been partially closed to traffic.

Al least three lanes on Al Khail Road, heading towards Abu Dhabi, near to Al Barsha Bridhge, have been closed, said a Road and Transport Authority (RTA) spokesperson late on Thursday.

The road has become uneven due to construction work underneath, which occurred due to the miscalculation of the contractor, the RTA spokesperson said.

Fortunately there were no accidents. The damage would be rectified and the road would be opened to public by 4pm on Friday.

Meanwhile, motorists have been urged to use Shaikh Zayed Road as an alternative.
