Man critically injured in motorcycle crash

Dubai: A motorcyclist is in critical condition after sustaining multiple injuries in a crash on Monday afternoon, according to a top police official.

Major-General Mohammad Saif Al Zafein, Director of the Dubai Police Traffic Department, said that Dubai traffic police responded to the incident on Abu Bakr Al Sedeeq Road at 1pm.

According to Maj Gen Al Zafein, a preliminary investigation revealed the Asian driver lost control of his motorcycle. He said the accident caused congestion on the road.

He added 2,633 traffic accidents took place on Dubai’s roads in 2013.
