Horrific traffic collision kills driver in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi Police warn motorists not to stand in the middle of the road, and to park vehicles safely
Abu Dhabi: A bus driver was killed on Sunday morning after his vehicle collided with a trailer truck in Mussafah’s industrial area.
Lt Col Dr Abdullah Al Suwaidi, Deputy Director of the Traffic Department at the Traffic and Patrols Department, said that preliminary investigations showed that the driver was killed when the bus rammed into the truck.
The bus was parked on the road.
Emergency responders and police patrols rushed to the scene of the accident, and transported the victim to Khalifa Medical City.
Lt Col Dr Al Suwaidi called on motorists and road users to avoid any distractions while driving and not to stand in the middle of the road without justification.
