Funeral road signs on demand for Emiratis in Dubai

Dubai: The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will install temporary on-demand road signs directing visitors to funeral services for Emiratis.

The complimentary service will be made available across Dubai in cases of death, with up to 10 signs directing visitors to the house of the deceased.

“This initiative serves a number of vital and strategic goals of the RTA, and the procedures of availing the service are smooth for customers who can contact RTA’s call centre (at 8009090) any time during the day, and provide the required documentation and information for identifying the location. The signs will be installed within six hours from the time of submitting the application during working hours, or within 12 hours if the application was submitted after working hours or during a weekend or official holiday,” said Maitha Bin Udai, CEO of RTA’s Traffic and Roads Agency.

The signboard will indicate the name and title of the deceased, signs and directions to the funeral for both men and women.
