Frequent taxi dispatch centre users honoured

Dubai: Residents who most frequently used the services of the Booking and Dispatch Centre of the Roads and Transport Authority’s Public Transport Agency were honoured recently at a gathering organised by the agency’s Transport Activities Monitoring Department.

Abdullah Al Mahri, director of the department, said: “We are keen to make this event open in order to heed to public views, discuss and study ideas and suggestions in order to broaden and upgrade the [booking] services …” The centre, which can be contacted on phone number 042080808, had completed 4.15 million taxi bookings from January to August this year.
