Driver killed as truck overturns on Dubai Bypass road

Dubai: A 55-year-old Asian driver was killed on Monday when his truck - overloaded with construction materials - overturned on the Dubai bypass road.

According to a traffic official, the accident happened at around 1pm when the speeding motorist lost control of the vehicle as he was trying to avoid hitting the road barrier.

"The vehicle completely overturned and two containers of the truck were scattered at the road," he said.
