Abu Dhabi: Traffic on Al Salam Street in Abu Dhabi could be affected due to the closure of a lane from Tuesday. The right traffic lane near Khalifa Park will be closed for three weeks from uesday, the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City announced on Sunday.

The closure of the right traffic lane on both inbound and outbound Abu Dhabi directions is to facilitate road works in the area, said a statement issued by the municipality.

Upon completion of Al Salam Street Project, motorists will be able to travel through Al Salam Street without any traffic signals from Shaikh Zayed Bridge up to Mina Zayed.

Al Salam Street Project is a result of the cooperation between the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City, Urban Planning Council, Department of Transport and the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police.

The project falls under the initiative of the municipality to contribute to the development of the city and to establish Abu Dhabi's position as a truly modern metropolis on par with the best in the world.
