Abu Dhabi: For those who are not quite sure what wakeboarding is all about, or want to hone their skills on the board, there is now a place where they can learn all about it, and receive lessons from expert wakeboarders as an added bonus. That place is the Wakeboarding Beginners' Park, which has been put in place ahead of Wakestock Abu Dhabi 2010, which will run from March 4-6.

World Cable Champion Nick Davies, Wakeboard superstar Amber Wing, World Boat Champion Aaron Rathy, and four times Wakestock Champion Dan Nott treated the public to a jaw-dropping demonstration at the grand opening of the facility, hosted by the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City, in partnership with Flash Entertainment.

"Abu Dhabi's Corniche beach is a wonderful facility and an important attraction for the entire community. As part of our long-term plans for the public beach and in line with the vision of Plan Abu Dhabi 2030, we are continually improving and enhancing the services and facilities on offer," Rashid Al Omaira, Adviser, Investments and Assets, Municipality of Abu Dhabi City, said.
