Top-quality Arabian horses to go on sale

Some young, top-class horses from leading studfarms around the world will go on sale at the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation's fourth Auction Sale of Pure-bred Arabian horses to be held on November 19.

Some young, top-class horses from leading studfarms around the world will go on sale at the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation's fourth Auction Sale of Pure-bred Arabian horses to be held on November 19.

Over 120 Purebred Arabian horses have so far been confirmed for the auction sale which is only restricted to the Purebred Arabian variety and will be held at 6pm at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club.

The UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation have also released an attractive and informative booklet on the sale.
The detailed booklet carries a variety of information including personal details of each horse, its sire and dam.

Youngsters of class pedigrees, yet to race from Al Asayl, France and Horse Improvement Farm, Oman will also be on offer. This coupled with UAE-bred youngsters from the Al Aweer Farms, Desert Arabian Stud and Al Asayl make the fourth edition of this popular auction sale an attractive event.

Bel Abbes Des Ages, a three-year-old colt by Djelfor and two yearling fillies by Dormane, Nerva De Cardonne and Tachou De Cardonne are all part of the French pack and in the list that is going to attract top attention. Shoagh, is another two-year-old filly by Dormane. Dormane, which won six races from eight starts as a three and four-year-old has sired some greats in the recent past like Darike, Passem Lotois, Chndaka, Dorwan Du Cayrou.

Karim De La Prade, a two-year-old colt by Newday, Gare Au Gorille, a three-year-old colt by Dunixi, are also expected to generate a lot of interest. Murhib, a three-year-old British colt sired by Bengali D'Albert which won 16 races from 24 starts in France, UAE and UK is also on offer.

Among horses currently in racing action which will be on offer includes Gafsu Du Moureou a six-year-old mare by Tidjani has won five races, placed 2nd thrice and 3rd twice in France and UAE, Rhania Bint Farazan a 5-year-old mare by Farazan Du Paon has won 4 races and placed four times and Abra a five-year-old mare by Dormane which has won two races and placed twice.

For those looking to pick up some horses for Endurance, quite a good selection is on offer including three horses from Spain. Vinagres, a 10-year-old by Baron, Argentina an eight-year-old mare by Bak and Arabia-Vali a seven-year-old mare by Abha Vali have all just started their endurance ride career and the growing piopularity of Endurance Rides in the UAE is only going to see this section increase.

Horses for pleasure riding, flat racing, endurance riding and show horses as well as those for jumping will be on offer.
Prospective buyers can inspect the horses on November 18 and Sunday morning November 19.
