Police blame parents’ negligence for girl’s death

Sharjah: A toddler died after falling into a bucket of water at her home in Al Dhaid city of Sharjah, a police officer told Gulf News.

The incident took place on Tuesday.

The Bangladeshi girl aged two was rushed to Al Dhaid hospital on Tuesday evening where doctors pronounced her dead.

The body was found in a bucket full of water in the bathroom.

Doctors at the hospital said the victim had suffered brain damage.

Al Dhaid police launched an investigation into the incident.

Police blamed parents’ negligence for the death of their daughter.

Police urged parents to be more vigilant and keep children away from electrical appliances and water.
