Ajman: Three men were rescued from drowning off the beach in Ajman on Friday morning, Colonel Nasser Rashid Al Ziri, director of the media and public relations department of Ajman Civil Defence, said.

The men were rescued by the marine division of Ajman Civil Defence and provided first aid on site.

The efficiency and alertness of maritime rescue teams of the Civil Defence helped avert disaster, said Col Al Ziri, as the team have been stationed at the beach to monitor the safety of beachgoers and offer help.

Col Al Ziri urged beachgoers to avoid going into the sea during unstable weather and be cautious while swimming, particularly during high tide. They should respond to the ‘red flag’ signal and refrain from swimming in the sea when they spot it, he added.
