Al Ain: Three members of an Emirati family -- a father, his son, and his daughter -- were killed in a car crash late Friday while returning home from a family outing in Al Ain’s Al Razeen area.

According to relatives, the family had gathered at their private rest house, known locally as an ‘Azba’, to share dinner before heading back to their residence.

As the vehicle, carrying six people including the father, three sons, a daughter, and a domestic worker, traveled along a dirt road in the Al Razeen area, it veered off and overturned.

The crash claimed the lives of the father, one of his sons, and his daughter. The remaining passengers were rushed to the hospital with various injuries.

The deceased were laid to rest on Saturday following funeral prayers at the Al Matawa Mosque. Burial took place at the nearby Al Matawa Cemetery in Al Ain, according to an announcement from the Janazat Al Ain platform.

In a brief statement, the brother of the deceased man and uncle to the children expressed his profound sorrow. “We are heartbroken, but we submit to God’s will,” he said, offering prayers for their souls and strength for the grieving family.
