Sharjah: The Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilisation hosted teachers of Islamic education in the first of a series of workshops.

The initiative is organised by the Department of Education and Interpretation at the Sharjah Museums Department.

It is part of the museum's efforts to enhance communication with the Sharjah Educational Zone and to raise awareness among teachers in Sharjah and the UAE in general about the role of educational programmes and their importance in supporting the school curriculum.

Connect the curriculum

The workshop was attended by 38 teachers and was aimed at introducing the new programme and showing how to connect the curriculum with the museum.

Alia Burhaima, head of the Department of Education and Interpretation at the Sharjah Museums Department, said: "We are proud of the new programme, which was launched as part of a series of integrated activities which give emphasis to the goal of our new initiative since Sharjah Museums are accessible to all."
