Tanker crash causes traffic nightmare on Dubai Bypass Road

Dubai: A huge tanker loaded with diesel crashed on the Dubai Bypass Road early on Monday, causing huge traffic problems.

Dubai Police said the crash happened near the Al Khawaneej roundabout in the Sharjah direction.

Major General Mohammad Saif Al Zafein, Chief of Dubai Police Traffic Department, said one man was injured in the crash.

“The driver of the heavy vehicle was injured in the accident,” he said.

“It took several hours to remove the truck from the road and to clear the area."
