Experts give tips on healthy living at ILA-organised Beautiful Me
The Indian Ladies Association recently organised an evening Beautiful Me at the association's school premises.
A talk on the art of living was given by Sangeeta who emphasised the fact that beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. She also gave a talk on yoga and Sudarshan Kriya, which is a specific breathing technique to restore balance in life. She plans to restart the workshop here in Abu Dhabi which will consist of classes to help the individual acquire mental peace, freedom from stress and profound happiness.
Next, Malini Ohri, the health and beauty consultant from Dubai, gave interesting beauty tips in conjunction with Nivea Beaute. She told the ladies present that losing weight and fight off allergies is directly related to the blood type. Certain kinds of food benefit certain blood types and help in losing weight and increasing stamina.
Rice is a product that can be beneficial to all blood groups, she said. People of Blood Group A should eat salmon and sardines, olive oil, plums and pineapples. and avoid crab, sesame oil, wheat germ and bananas.
Those of the Blood Group B should eat lamb, olive oil, rice cakes and bananas and avoid chicken, corn oil, sesame oil, wheat bran and coconut.
The AB Blood Group can eat lamb and turkey, olive oil, rice cakes, cherries and grapes and avoid sunflower and corn oil, cornflakes and bananas.
The O Blood Group should eat lamb, olive oil, plums and figs and avoid corn and peanut oil, oatmeal and strawberries.
