Sultan performs funeral prayers for Mohammed

The Court of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, yesterday mourned the death of Sheikh Mohammed bin Saeed bin Majid Al Qasimi, who passed away yesterday at the age of 37, following a tragic accident.

Later Sheikh Sultan performed funeral prayers for Sheikh Mohammed at Al Sahaba Mosque in the emirate before the body was buried.

Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Sharjah Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler, and a number of Sheikhs also performed funeral prayers.

A week-long official period of mourning was announced in the emirate from yesterday, while the flag will fly at half-mast during the week.

Meanwhile, the Court of His Highness Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, also mourned the death of Sheikh Mohammed and announced a week-long official period of mourning in the emirate from yesterday, while the flag will fly at half-mast during the week.
