His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, praised the Euro-Arab Management School (EAMS) in Granada as one of the strongest bridges of scientific and cultural contacts and a credible authority on Euro-Arab cross-cultural management issues.

Sheikh Sultan called for setting up more similar institutions to strengthen scientific and cultural cooperation and dialogue as well as to exchange expertise and information.

"The EAMS has restored to Granada some of its glaring glory and history. The ancient city was a rare example of cross cultures and religions," Sheikh Sultan told an audience hosted in his honour on the occasion of his visit to the school yesterday.

EAMS, a joint cooperation project of the European Commission and the League of Arab states, was established in 1995 to provide education, training and other services for the development of business between Arab and European companies. The Spanish government strongly supported the initiative and offered the seat and the legal accreditation.

EAMS is a unique cross-cultural management institution at the interface between Arab and European countries, academic and corporate worlds, private companies and public organisations. EAMS is the only pan-Arabic, pan-European network for management development with a network of 49 academic institutions among leading business schools and management centres in the Arab world (including the UAE) and Europe.
