Sulamani can supply Godolphin with a landmark 100th Group/Grade One success by taking today's Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud at France.

Frankie Dettori takes the ride on the Hernando colt who will be making his second start for Godolphin since winning the Group 1 Dubai Sheema Classic at Nad Al Sheba in March.

Godolphin, however, have indicated that Sulamani will not run if the ground conditions at Saint-Cloud are unsuitable.

"We are concerned about the ground in France and we do not want to risk him on ground that is too quick for him," Racing Manager Simon Crisford said.

"So we will be delaying the decision until the last possible moment. But the horse is going well and we are happy with him. Obviously, he has some major races coming up such as the King George and the Breeders' Cup."

Godolphin have long stressed that the Group One King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes to be run at Ascot on July 26 are his primary target for the summer.

Trainer Saeed bin Suroor said: "Sulamani needs a race. He has the class to run a big race on Sunday. However, the King George remains the main race for him."

Godolphin, who have had four Group 1 successes this year, is also represented by the Richard Hills-ridden Millstreet who perform the role of pacemaker in the mile and a half contest.

Prior to being acquired by Godolphin late last year, Sulamani won four races in Europe before finishing three-quarters of a length second to Marinebard, also from the Godolphin stable, in the Group One Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe over 12 furlongs at Longchamp on October 6.

His four included the Prix Sanctus at Maisons-Laffitte, the Listed Prix de L'avre at Chantilly, the Group Two Prix Niel at Longchamp and the Group One Prix du Jockey Club over today's same course and distance.

Millstreet, a four-year-old Polish Precedent gelding, was fourth behind Mamool in the Khas El Dhaheb at Nad Al Sheba in February.

Commenting on his role at Saint-Cloud Crisford said: "Millstreet is there to act as a pacemaker and if Sulamani did not run, then he would not run either."

The Godolphin pair are set to take on eight other likely contenders including Ange Gabriel, winner of a Group 2 at Chantilly earlier this month, who Trumbaka, stepping up in class after back-to-back Group 3 wins, and recent winners Loxias and Labirinto.
