Abu Dhabi: About 100 students from a private school Friday gathered to clean up sections of the capital as part of a cleanliness and sustainability campaign by the Abu Dhabi Municipality.

The campaign, entitled Asematy (my capital), includes social activities to preserve the image and cleanliness of the capital and has been running since June 2009.

The students from the Emirates Private School watched a puppet theatre play about the importance of keeping the city clean, and participated in a waste management and recycling workshop organised by the Centre of Waste Management.
