The first Recruitment Fair was held yesterday at Zayed University's Abu Dhabi campus to present available job opportunities.
The fair was held by students of the university, and more than 30 recruiters, employers, local and international companies in Abu Dhabi participated.
Representatives of the companies briefed students on job opportunities and requirements needed. Employer booths were set up in the campus auditorium where both students and prospective employers got a chance to know about each other.
A panel of professionals from different embassies and organisations gave brief presentations on 'Graduate and Professional School Opportunities'.
"The university has put in a great deal of effort to ensure a successful career for us. I found the fair very informative and helpful," said Amna Saeed, a participant at the fair.
Employers included ADNOC, Abu Dhabi Women Association, Arab Monetary Fund, Emirates International Bank, Al Mashreq Bank, Red Crescent Association, Tanmia, U.S. Embassy, Australian Agency and Training Services, British Council, Canadian Embassy, Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research and other institutions.
Another fair is to take place in Dubai on Sunday for employers.
