Special clean-up team for Dubai road crashes

Dubai: Dubai Municipality’s waste management department has deployed a special team to clean up road accident sites in Dubai.

The service will be carried out in coordination with Dubai Police and Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services.

Abdul Majeed Saifaie, director of the waste management department, said: “We are receiving increased requests to clean the road after accidents, mostly involving trucks loaded with sand, vegetables, construction waste, oils … that lead to roads being closed and traffic disruption.”

He added that 405 notifications about such accidents were received in the nine months of the year.

Residents can also report such accidents using the municipality hotline 800900.

“Our team has achieved excellence in their work in providing the best and quick services in line with international best practices in this field,” Saifaie said.
