Smartphone applications award’s second edition launched

Abu Dhabi: The Ministry of Interior announced on Sunday the launch of the second edition of the Ministry of Interior’s Award for

smartphone applications and making it an annual event.

The move comes on the orders of Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior.

“This award reflects the keenness of the ministry on opening new avenues for creativity and providing a favourable environment that encourages innovation, improves the services in our beloved homeland and makes the UAE one of the best countries in terms of research and development,” said Major General Ahmad Nasser Al Raisi, Director-General of Central Operations and Head of the eServices and Smart Applications Team at the ministry.
