Six-day water supply disruption expected in Sharjah

Sharjah residents urged to store water ahead of six-day water supply disruption

Last updated:

Sharjah: The Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (Sewa) has urged the public to store enough water ahead of an expected disruption to the water supply next week.

The disruption to the water supply is scheduled to start on November 28 and will continue for six days while maintenance work is ongoing.

Sewa said the disruption will affect areas served by Al Liya plant, including Al Khan, Majaz and the Corniche.

The water supplies in those areas will be reduced but not disconnected because of maintenance work aimed at enhancing water supply services, officials said.
