There is a new community park being built in our area, near Abu Hail Road, in Deira, Dubai.

We express our gratitude to Dubai Municipality for transforming a dirty, sandy area into a beautiful park. However, it must be mentioned that there are a few people who visit the area and just do not care about their surroundings.

People of all ages, from teenagers to adults, tend to hang out in the area till late into the evenings and until midnight. These late visitors tend to smoke and chew betel leaves, or paan, leaving behind a lot of litter and hideous stains on the ground.

Recently, on a Friday, we visited the park and it looked horrible — we could not even sit there! As we live nearby, my husband brought out a broom and cleaned up the area. People who behave in such a manner are a true nuisance for those who stay nearby. We request the authorities to keep a watch on this area and prevent trouble-makers from spoiling its beauty.
