Shawwal moon-sighting committee set up

Abu Dhabi: Sultan Bin Saeed Al Badi, Minister of Justice, issued a resolution setting up the Shawwal crescent moonsighting committee.

The decision called on all the Sharia courts across the country to look out for the crescent moon and inform the committee.

The committee, which will be chaired by the minister, will convene at the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department following Maghrib prayers on Thursday, July 16 (Ramadan 29).
