Through Gulf News, I would like to point out the practice of wasting energy in Sharjah — which ultimately causes a severe shortage of electricity.

Residents living in the city faced some trouble because of power outage, around six months ago. This is why I was really surprised to find that streetlights were switched on during the day, in the Abu Shagara area.

Why waste energy when it can so easily be conserved?

I request those responsible to see to the matter and take the appropriate measures to conserve our environment's energy for coming generations.
