"Located on Immigration Road, it has brought famous retail brands, services and the ultimate leisure experience to the heart of Sharjah."
Talking to Gulf News, Sheikh Tariq bin Faisal Al Qasimi, chairman of the Sharjah Economic Development Department, said the mall is a very important addition to the emirate's retail market and was developed as part of the government's plans to make the emirate an attractive retail market.
"The Economic Department of Sharjah is making every possible effort to cooperate and assist the developers and management of such malls to ensure safety of their investment," he said, adding that some more malls, due to open soon, will also help improve the local retail market.
Sharjah Mega Mall's four levels comprise over 150 shops including renowned brand names. For entertainment, visitors can drop in at Antic's Land - an 85,000 square foot family entertainment centre - and view films at the seven-screen Century Cinema complex.
