Sharjah: Sharjah Civil Defence has launched a new safety campaign aimed at jet ski riders, focusing on keeping the beaches safe for everyone. The campaign, led by the Marine Rescue Unit, includes visits to jet ski rental shops and direct talks with beachgoers.

Officers gathered with a group of riders to explain the dangers of careless jet ski use. They reminded everyone to stay away from swimming areas and avoid getting too close to people in the water. One of the main rules they stressed: children under 15 are not allowed to drive jet skis under any condition.

The campaign seeks to reduce negative behaviours and raise awareness about safety requirements to ensure a safe marine environment for all.

The campaign is not just about enforcing rules—it’s about protecting lives.
