Abu Dhabi: Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, on Tuesday launched patrols for security support at the General Headquarters of Abu Dhabi Police.

The new service aims to deliver an unconventional security service in order to further enhance safety for the public, and police and security personnel.

Upon inspecting the patrols, Shaikh Saif was briefed by Lt Col Khalid Al Shamsi, Head of Security Support Section, on training methods and missions the new section will conduct. Al Shamsi said the new unit is one of developmental idea for future police and security which provides prompt response during minor, moderate and fatal accidents if required.

Shaikh Saif stressed the importance of pursuing processes of development and innovation in the service of the homeland and people.

He said; “We would only be satisfied with a wonderful performance of police performance that matches the rapid pace of progress and excellence in the country under the wise leadership.”
