Rectify blunders on signboards

Gulf News reader Gireesh Sankaran took the time to stop and click a picture of a
peculiar signboard near Al Tawam Hospital roundabout, in Al Ain.

He said: "As a multicultural country, the UAE is home to people from different nationalities. English is a common language for many people - but unfortunately, some billboards and notice boards have words that are misspelled."

Such mistakes may tarnish the reputation of the Garden City, according to the community reporter. He added: "This [error] is not due to ignorance but due to negligence."

The reader urged the authorities to rectify such blunders at the earliest.
