Rangmanch will locally stage two shows of popular Hindi comedy Biwi O Biwi today and tomorrow at the Emirates Auditorium in Crowne Plaza Hotel.

The play is presented by Indian Peoples Theatre Association (IPTA), India's oldest theatre group, that has produced veterans such as Balraj Sahani, Sanjeev Kumar, and A.K. Hangal amongst many others.

Biwi O Biwi has been staged at more than 15 full house shows in India, and Dubai is the first overseas destination for the group. The play is written, directed and enacted by Rakesh Bedi, and supported by many other Bollywood and television heavyweights such as Avtaar Gill, Sulbha Arya, Lubna Salim, Salim Arif and Mohini.

The comedy revolves around a chronicle of modern male chauvinism, closing with a meaningful message for the audience.

"We believe in staging only meaningful comedies, as we want our audiences to leave the auditorium not only totally relaxed and stress-free, but also with a few good thoughts that help them reflect and improve their values and purpose of life," says Laila Merchant, managing director of Rangmanch.
