Ras Al Khaimah: Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) Police have intensified inspections of Ramadan tents across the emirate to ensure all COVID-19 precautionary measures are adhered to during Ramadan.

During Ramadan, tents are set up to provide complimentary iftar, the meal taken at sunset to end the day's fast.

Colonel Dr Rashid Mohammed Al-Salhadi, Director of the Community Police Department, said that from the first day of Ramadan, Ras Al Khaimah Police started implementing specialised plans and integrated programmes to provide a healthy and safe environment for all residents.

The plan includes the launch of an initiative to organise and supervise the work of Ramadan tents through conducting inspection visits and intensive periodic checks, to ensure all stipulated health controls and precautionary measures are adhered to in order to prevent COVID-19 .

Col Dr Al-Salhadi stressed the importance of everyone to be responsible and be aware of the rules so that random gatherings are limited and all preventive measures are strictly adhered to.
