Education Ministry launches 'Ramadan with the Family' initiative
Dubai: The Ministry of Education has launched the "Ramadan with the Family" initiative for public school pupils, designating every Friday during the holy month of Ramadan as a distance learning day.
However, pupils with pre-approved exam schedules on Fridays during Ramadan will continue attending their exams as planned.
The initiative aims to provide students with more time to engage in spiritual and family activities while maintaining their academic progress and refining their core skills.
As part of the initiative, the Ministry has issued comprehensive guidelines outlining various student activities to be carried out in collaboration with parents. These activities are designed to foster a supportive and enriching Ramadan atmosphere, encouraging students to strengthen family bonds, embrace cultural and religious traditions, and participate in meaningful learning experiences.
Additionally, the initiative promotes family cohesion and the values of the holy month, reinforcing the importance of togetherness and shared experiences. Teaching staff will be available at schools on Fridays to accommodate pupils whose parents prefer them to attend in person.
The initiative reflects the Ministry’s commitment to holistic education, ensuring a balance between academic development and personal and social growth during this sacred time.
