Dubai: Dubai Police has announced its Ramadan mobile cannon will be on display at the Zabeel Grand Mosque today and tomorrow (March 27 and 28). The event aims to engage residents in the Ramadan atmosphere by allowing them to witness the firing of the cannon at sunset, around 6.35pm these days.

Major Abdullah Tarish Al Amimi, Commander of Dubai Police Ramadan Cannons, said the mobile cannon would be present at the Zabeel Grand Mosque for two days. The event will provide the community with an opportunity to learn about the traditions of the UAE, specifically those related to firing cannon during the holy month.

Mobile cannon locations

Throughout Ramadan, the mobile cannon will visit a total of 15 locations as part of its scheduled route. In the coming days, the Mobile Cannon will be present at Al Nahda School for Girls in Al Lesaily, Al Habab Mosque, Al-Awir Grand Mosque, Al Habai Mosque in Al Khawaneej, Bin Dafoos Mosque in Al Twar, and Al Quoz 4 ‘Al Khail Heights’ area.

Subsequent locations include Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum City, Ain Dubai, Al Salam Mosque in Al Barsha, Kite Beach in Jumeirah, Nad Al Sheba Mosque, and finally, the Eid prayer ground in Mankhool.
