Authorities urge public adherence to safety precautions

Abu Dhabi Police and the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority have released safety guidelines for the Eid Al Fitr holiday, urging the public to follow precautionary measures to protect lives and property.
The guidelines emphasize safe driving practices, including adherence to traffic laws, reduced speeds, and giving way to emergency vehicles. Motorists are also advised to avoid reckless driving, including stunts.
Residents are cautioned against handling or using fireworks and are encouraged to use only safety-compliant chargers, extension cables, and electronic devices. Parents are reminded to ensure children stay away from main roads and are supervised when crossing streets.
Aligned with international best practices, these measures form part of ongoing efforts to enhance emergency preparedness, maintain smooth traffic flow, and ensure public safety during the Eid celebrations.
