Ras Al Khaimah: His Highness Shaikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has instructed the Ras Al Khaimah Municipality to name a street in Shaam after First Lieutenant Tareq Mohammad Al Shehi who fell martyr in an explosion in Bahrain on Monday.
Shaikh Saud’s gesture comes in recognition of Al Shehi’s sacrifices and dedication for the nation.He ordered that a street in Shaam, the hometown of Al Shehi, be named after him.
Meanwhile, Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, yesterday offered his condolences to the family of First Lieutenant Tarek Al Shehi, who was killed in a terrorist attack in Bahrain.
Shaikh Hamdan offered his heartfelt condolences to Al Shehi’s mother during a visit to their home in Ras Al Khaimah. Shaikh Hamdan told her that he, and all Emirati youths, are her sons. He praised Al Shehi’s sacrifice for the sake of the nation and in fulfilment of his duty.
Shaikh Hamdan was accompanied by Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, and other senior officials.
