A total of 50 drivers from different countries will compete in the Abu Dhabi jet ski race today in the four categories competition organised by the Abu Dhabi International Marine Sports Club(ADIMSC).

Drivers from Syria, Qatar, Bahrain, USA, Kuwait and the UAE will compete in the four categories that include 785 cc for professionals and beginners, up to 1200 cc beginners and 1200 cc professionals.

UAE's driver, Omair bin Thani leads the standings of the 785 cc beginners with 40 points followed by his countryman Hamad bin Thani 34 points while American Alex Kim is third with 26 points.

UAE's most experienced jet ski driver, Nadir bin Hindi leads the standings of the 785 cc for professionals with 40 points followed by Omair bin Thani 34 points and Thani Attig Al Qamzy third with 30 points.

Thani is leading the President's Cup competition for Formula II Powerboats and have taken part in the World Formula One Championship last year.

Mohammed Mubarak Al Qamzy, from the Abu Dhabi Team, leads the standings of the 1200 cc professionals with 37 points followed by his team mate Khalid Saeed Al Qamzy 35 points and Rashid Suhail Al Tayer 32 points while Bahraini Sami Al Saati leads the 1200 cc beginners with 32 points followed by Mohammed Hamad Al Hamly and Ibrahim Khalifa Al Qubeissi with 20 points each.
