Pupils urged to enrol in activities

Dubai: Police called on pupils to make the best out of their summer vacation by registering in various programmes offered by Dubai Police to encourage pupils to invest their time in useful activities.

Major General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina, Dubai Police's Deputy Commandant General, said the offered programmes include training courses in various fields such as, military, administrative, diving, craftwork, sports and other fields.

He said for the first time this year, Dubai Police is offering female pupils training courses in self-defence. Around 1,822 pupils have already registered for the training courses so far. The summer programmes include training on giving speeches, journalism, photography, diving, sports, craftwork in carpentry, electricity, construction, welding and planting.
