With profound sorrow the Presidential Court yesterday mourned the sad demise of Sheikh Rashid bin Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, son of Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The Court offered condolences to the Al Maktoum family on their loss.
The Court of Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai yesterday announced the death of Sheikh Rashid, who died yesterday following a tragic accident.
Sheikh Rashid was laid to rest here yesterday in Bur Dubai graveyard.
Dubai Deputy Ruler and Minister of Finance and Industry Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and UAE Defence Minister General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, sheikhs, senior officials and a large number of citizens performed funeral prayers for the soul of the deceased at Za'beel Mosque in Dubai.

The Courts conveyed their deepest condolences to Sheikh Maktoum, Sheikh Hamdan, Sheikh Mohammed and to the Al Maktoum family.
Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan yesterday conveyed condolences to Sheikh Maktoum on behalf of President His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
Sheikh Khalifa also offered condolences to Sheikh Hamdan and Sheikh Mohammed. He was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Ruler of Sharjah Dr Sheikh Sultan offered condolences to Sheikh Hamdan and Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, brother of the deceased.
Ruler of Ajman Sheikh Humaid offered condolences to Sheikh Hamdan and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid. Sheikh Hamdan and Sheikh Mohammed also received Ruler of Fujairah Sheikh Hamad who conveyed his condolences.
