Police officers join blood donation drive

Police officers yesterday took part in a blood donation campaign organised by Saqr Hospital. The officers were received at the hospital by Dr Yasser Issa Al Nuaimi, Head of the Ras Al Khaimah Medical Zone, and Abdullah Saifan, Director General of Saqr Hospital.

Police officers yesterday took part in a blood donation campaign organised by Saqr Hospital. The officers were received at the hospital by Dr Yasser Issa Al Nuaimi, Head of the Ras Al Khaimah Medical Zone, and Abdullah Saifan, Director General of Saqr Hospital.

Colonel Khalfan bin Naye Al Khattiri, Head of the Operations Room at Ras Al Khaimah Police, stressed that it is very important for the public to take part in these activities to meet the needs of patients particularly, during emergencies and accidents.

Police officers came to donate blood particularly for thalassemia patients who need blood on a regular basis. The two-day campaign will continue today when more police officers donate blood.

Dr Al Nuaimi urged all local and federal authorities in the emirate to follow the example of the police department.
