Dubai: An Indian engineer based in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday won $1 million in the latest weekly Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire draw.

Khaliq Naik Mohammed, 48, has been living in the UAE capital since 2012 and has been a regular participant in Dubai Duty Free’s promotion for four years now. The father of three, who is from Hyderabad city in India, works as an engineer-instructor at a university.

When asked about his initial plans with his win, he said: “Most of the funds will go to my children’s education and our family’s future, while I will also do some charity works.”

Finest Surprise

Following the Millennium Millionaire draw held at the airport, the Finest Surprise draw was conducted for one luxury car and two motorbikes.

Nazeer E., a 44-year-old Pakistani national based in Dubai, won a Mercedes Benz S500 car.

A resident of Dubai for 20 years now, Nazeer E. who works for a logistics company, has previously won a BMW F 900 XR motorbike in 2022.

Kevin DSouza, a 40-year-old Portuguese national based in Dubai, won a BMW S 1000 R.

A resident of Dubai since 2017, DSouza has been a regular participant in Dubai Duty Free’s promotion since 2021, is a father of two and works as pilot.

Lastly, Rajasekaran Samaresan, an Indian national based in the UAE, won a BMW R 1250 RS motorbike.
